7-Day Digital Marketing Learning Plan (30 Min/Day)

 


Day 1 – Introduction & SEO Basics

Focus: Understanding how digital marketing works + start with SEO.
Study (15 min):

  • Watch/read an overview of digital marketing (channels: SEO, Social Media, Ads, Email, Analytics).

  • Learn what SEO is and why keywords matter.

Practical Task (15 min):

  • Pick a website you like (or your own if available).

  • Use Google Search → type a service/product you’d like to rank for → note the top 5 results.

  • Write down 5 keywords you think your site/business could target.


Day 2 – On-Page SEO

Focus: Optimizing pages for search engines.
Study (15 min):

  • Learn about title tags, meta descriptions, headings (H1, H2), and URLs.

  • See how these tell Google what the page is about.

Practical Task (15 min):

  • Open any blog or service page.

  • Check: Does it have a clear title, H1, and a keyword in the first paragraph?

  • Draft a sample title & meta description for one keyword you found yesterday.


Day 3 – Social Media Basics

Focus: Growing visibility through organic social.
Study (15 min):

  • Learn about content types (educational, entertaining, promotional).

  • Understand difference between Reach, Engagement, and Conversions.

Practical Task (15 min):

  • Create a 3-post idea list for Instagram/Facebook.

    • 1 educational (tip or FAQ).

    • 1 testimonial or customer story.

    • 1 product/service showcase.

  • Write a short caption for one post.


Day 4 – Facebook & Instagram Ads (Intro)

Focus: Paid traffic basics.
Study (15 min):

  • Learn how Facebook/Instagram Ads work (targeting, budget, creatives).

  • Understand Boost Post vs Ads Manager.

Practical Task (15 min):

  • Go to Meta Ads Manager (no need to run an ad yet).

  • Explore campaign objectives: Awareness, Traffic, Leads, Sales.

  • Draft one ad idea: write headline + copy + choose an image/video you’d use.


Day 5 – Google Ads (Intro)

Focus: Search ads basics.
Study (15 min):

  • Learn how Google Search Ads show up above organic results.

  • Key terms: keywords, CPC, impressions, CTR.

Practical Task (15 min):

  • Go to ads.google.com (free account).

  • Use Keyword Planner (free tool) → type your service/product → find 5 new keywords.

  • Draft one sample ad:

    • Headline (30 chars)

    • Description (90 chars)

    • Final URL


Day 6 – Analytics (Google Analytics + Meta Insights)

Focus: Tracking performance.
Study (15 min):

  • Learn what Google Analytics 4 tracks: users, sessions, sources, conversions.

  • Learn what Meta Insights tracks: reach, engagement, clicks.

Practical Task (15 min):

  • If you have a website → connect GA4.

  • If not → explore Google Analytics demo account.

  • On Instagram/Facebook → open Insights → note top-performing post (highest reach/engagement).


Day 7 – Mini Project & Review

Focus: Tie everything together.
Study (15 min):

  • Review key concepts: SEO → Social → Ads → Analytics.

  • Learn about how they connect (customer journey).

Practical Task (15 min):

  • Choose 1 business idea (real or imaginary).

  • Make a 1-page plan:

    • SEO: 3 target keywords.

    • Social: 2 post ideas with captions.

    • Ads: 1 sample ad (headline + copy).

    • Analytics: 2 metrics you’d track (e.g., leads, engagement).

End Result

In just 7 days (3.5 hours total):

  • You’ll understand the core pillars of digital marketing.

  • You’ll have a keyword list, sample posts, ad ideas, and tracking setup.

  • You’ll be ready to either practice on a real project or go deeper into each channel.
